Returns & refunds
At Âme Sauvage, each original artwork is carefully created, prepared and inspected before being shipped. We understand, however, that purchasing art online is a personal decision, and we want you to feel confident throughout your experience.
Right of withdrawal & return period
You have the right to request a return within 14 days from the date of receipt of your artwork, in accordance with applicable consumer protection regulations.
If you wish to return an artwork, please contact Âme Sauvage before sending it back.
Returns sent without prior agreement cannot be accepted.
Returning your artwork
Whenever possible, we kindly recommend using the original packaging provided by Âme Sauvage for returning your artwork, as it has been specifically designed to protect the painting during transport.
If you no longer have the original packaging, you may use your own packaging, provided that the artwork is securely protected with suitable materials, such as protective bubble wrap and strong cardboard packaging, to ensure safe transportation.
If the artwork is damaged during the return journey due to the carrier’s handling, please contact Âme Sauvage as soon as possible. If the return shipment has been properly insured, Âme Sauvage will assist with the claim process with the carrier and arrange the appropriate solution, including a refund where applicable.
Return shipping costs
Return shipping costs and packaging costs are the responsibility of the customer.
The return shipment must be insured for the value of the artwork.
To make the process easier and safer, Âme Sauvage may provide a return shipping label with artwork insurance. As the artist benefits from professional shipping rates, this option may be more advantageous for you.
If a return label is provided by Âme Sauvage, the cost of return shipping will be communicated to you in advance and deducted from your refund once the artwork has been received.
International returns (Outside the European Union)
For customers outside the European Union, if a parcel is refused after shipment due to a change of mind, and the artwork is returned to Âme Sauvage, any return shipping costs charged to the artist may be deducted from the refund amount.
Refund process
Once the artwork has been received and inspected, Âme Sauvage will process your refund within a maximum of 7 days, provided that the artwork is returned in its original condition.
The refund will cover the price of the artwork only. Original shipping costs and return shipping costs are not refundable.
Refunds will be made using the original payment method.
Please note that Âme Sauvage cannot accept returns sent with cash on delivery or payment due upon receipt.
Artwork damaged during return transport
If the artwork is damaged during return shipping despite using the insured return service arranged by Âme Sauvage, the situation will be handled with the carrier, and the appropriate solution will be arranged.
Please contact Âme Sauvage immediately if any issue occurs during the return process.
